The coaching

Organisational coaching makes sure your organisation sets goals that are relevant and consistent with its Purpose and Values, and that progress on these goals is being made.

What is it?

By including coaching as a part of the program, the understanding that participants gain in the course is actually implemented into their work life. This gives the program the best chance of success.

Who is it for?

The groups of people driving the changes - usually Directors and Executives while clarifying Purpose and Values, and Managers and key staff while developing strategies, goals, processes, and other systems.

I provide organisational coaching; that is, I help the organisation achieve its goals, not just certain staff (although that may come indirectly).

The role of a coach

Consider an elite athlete's coach: the elite athlete's coach provides objective feedback and advice on the athlete's performance and progress. The coach ensures the athlete trains and performs only in methods that are consistent with and relevant to the goals and best practice techniques. As a result, the athlete has the success consistent with those actions.

As a coach to your organisation, I ensure progress is being made towards the success criteria of the program by:

We can also work with your HR department to implement methods for sustaining this inhouse.

Benefits and outcomes of coaching program

  1. What is learned is put into practice.
  2. Goals set become results achieved.
  3. My coaching is a highly cost-effective solution to meeting your success criteria. As set out in my performance agreement, my success (and therefore remuneration) is proportional to yours.
  4. Your staff do not need to spend any more time than they would normally in achieving these results, and in fact will almost certainly spend less time.

Coaching process

Coaches sit across the organisation and its divisions, and work with whomever is involved in achieving the success goals.

Regular, weekly meetings are held with the goals' stakeholders to take account of progress, work through any barriers to progress, and set new milestones if necessary.

These meetings are a useful unifying tool, being a rare opportunity for staff across divisions to work together in the context of corporate (rather than divisional) success.

Apart from the regular coaching meetings, coaches are available on call to help out in different situations:

Cost

The cost of the coaching is factored into the program.
